Wilford Ray

Ray was born and raised in Derry, LA. and for the love of Country Music he left home at an early age. Then after receiving a contract to record for Starday and MGM he moved to Nashville, TN. Ray started his own label "Day Records" in 1968. He received an award from President Bill Clinton. He and his band has opened for or been on stage with some of the greatest country music singers such as;George Jones, Stonewall Jackson, Connie Henson (From the Urban Cowboy Movie),Merle Haggard,Del Reeves, Merle Kilgore, Jean Shepard, Charlie Louvin, The late Billy Walker and many more...He travels alot with Leona Williams. Whenever you see Wilford Ray, you will find country music fans taking pictures and getting autographs. He is a "rare" and "unique" entertainer that leaves a "lasting Impression" on almost everyone he meets. He has a modern and exciting show, along with great memories of yesterday.
